Origin of the Name
It is believed that the name Ettumanoor originated from the words "Ettu" (Eight), "Mana" (Traditional Brahmin House), and "Oor" (Village). According to tradition, the region was once a village consisting of eight Brahmin households, which eventually came to be known as Ettumanoor.
